Avril Lavigne concert

On May 28’th 2024 my friend and I attended an Avril Lavinge concert in Mountain View at Shoreline. Unfortunately, due to traffic, we were running late and missed the first opener; we saw the end of the second opener. The openers were Royal and The Serpent and All Time Low. I had a good time singing along. I got to hold a phone and waved a flashlight around.

If you would like to see the concert you can see it here:

Meeting Avril Lavingne

In April 2012, I had the opportunity to meet Avril Lavigne at a Safeway. She was there for the opening day for Special Olympics. My girlfriend at the time invited me to go to the opening day for Special Olympics. When we got there, we took our seats. There was a table set up on one side of the room, and Avril Lavigne was sitting at the table. I could hear “Complicated” and “Girlfriend” playing on the speaker system. The event started with the torch lighting. Someone ran with the torch and put it on a stand. Avril Lavigne spoke and explained she was there to support Special Olympics. We walked to where the cash registers were, and she started bagging groceries. When that was over, we went back to where we were sitting before. Avril Lavigne brought the table closer, and my girlfriend and I got into a line to meet her. She autographed a picture of her for us. I have the picture hanging in my room.

Meeting Josh Blue

A few years ago, my brother and his girlfriend surpised me by taking me to see Josh Blue in Sacramento. My brother got me into his car. My brother’s girlfriend told me we had a long drive ahead of us. We drove to Sacramento. I don’t have an idea why we were there. We went to Baja Fresh (a fast-food Mexican restaurant) and sat down. Suddenly, a person comes in, and my brother asks me Who’s that? It was Josh Blue. He walks over to where we were sitting. My brother introduces himself and tells him my name. I can’t talk because I’m very surprised. My brother says See you at your show. We go see his show. I died laughing during his show (he was much funnier in person than on YouTube.) After his show, we go over to where he’s sitting. I asked whether I knew you. I played a joke with Josh. I said You’ve been outpalsed (there’s a YouTube video explaining what I mean: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dCYrwudqIQ0). My brother gets a DVD and a shirt. Josh Blue signed my shirt.

Have you heard of Josh Blue? If you have how did you hear about him? Have you ever seen his stand up routines?

My journey to supported living

When I was in high school, an aide told me about supported living. Supported living is a service in which adults with special needs receive assistance to live on their own or with a roommate. I was interested in learning more about supported living, so the aide gave me contact info for a supported living supervisor. I started contacting her with many questions. I even went through the process of getting staff and looking at places where I could move to. However, my mom was very nervous about me moving out. She wanted me to be safe and I understand that. I didn’t end up moving out then.

My brother suggested I move in with him. I lived with him for about a year, and then he moved out, so his roommate wanted to assist me. He became very difficult to live with, so my brother set up supported living for me. The roommate and staff didn’t get along, so I ended up moving to a home with other people. I didn’t like it there at all. It was a care facility. It was hard for me to be independent. I finally moved in with a roommate through a supported living agency called Compass. (I recently posted about Compass Con, which you can see here https://elliotshares.com/blog/compass-con-recap/) I had a roommate who was nice. He talked a lot, and I ended up moving in with another roommate, who I currently live with.

What is your living situation like? Do you live by yourself, with roommates, or do you still live with your parents? I look forward to reading your comments.

Disney Dreamlight Valley: Showcase

A few weeks ago, I posted about a game I play called Dreamlight Valley. On Oct. 15th, there was a showcase that showed off what’s coming to the game the rest of the year, as well as the first three updates of next year.

The next three to four updates coming to Dreamlight Valley are Cinderella, Lady and the Tramp, Pocahontas, and Hercules. The Cinderella update will be available Dec. 10th.

In November, we’ll be getting a new expansion called Wishblossom Ranch. In Wishblossom Ranch we’ll be getting a new way to explore and do things around our valley by being able to ride horses. We’ll be able to do everything on horseback that we can do on foot, such as gardening, mining, and digging. We’ll be able to fully customize horses. We’ll have a stable that will hold four horses. We’ll also be meeting three Disney horses that will have special abilities that we will be able to unlock. Wishblossom Ranch will be available on Nov. 19th

I don’t want to give too much away in case you want to watch the showcase for yourself. You can watch the showcase here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yv92KKv9fGI if you are interested.

I’m very excited about Wishblossom Ranch and the ability to ride horseback, which will make it easier to explore and do things in our valley.

Are you familiar with Wishblossom Ranch? Would you like to learn more about it?

Dreamlight Valley expansion teaser

On September 3rd, there was an expansion teaser that showed we’ll get to take care of horses and ride them. We’ll also be getting Snow White and Tinker Bell.

Not only will we be taking care of and riding horses, but we’ll also be able to do activities with them.

We’ll find out the full details next month.

I’m looking forward to the new expansion and learning more about what’s to come in Dreamlight Valley. I previously wrote a post explaining what Dreamlight Valley is. If you haven’t read that post, here is a link to the post

Disney Dreamlight Valley

I’m a fan of Disney, and I was browsing YouTube one day when I stumbled upon a game called Dreamlight Valley. The game has an interesting storyline. One day, you are walking along and you come to a tree where you drift off to sleep. You awake in a place called Dreamlight Valley, where you meet Merlin, and he tells you that Dreamlight Valley was once a place where villagers all lived together. One day, Dreamlight Valley was taken over by The Forgotton, a curse that caused the villagers to forget. Some villagers were able to travel to realms where the Forgotten can’t affect them. It’s up to us to help stop the Forgotten.

Dreamlight Valley is a life simulation game where you help your favorite Disney characters by going on quests. You can cook, fish, or mine. It’s a fun game, though it can be challenging at times.

If you’d like to check out more about Disney’s Dreamlight Valley, you can visit their website https://disneydreamlightvalley.com/

I started playing around two years ago in July. I play on PC

Has anyone heard of Dreamlight Valley?
